Kris M. Swift
Kris Swift joined the Reese CPA Firm as a Senior Consultant in 2022. Qualifications include over a decade of exceptional banking experience in the public and private sectors, a unique blend of sales skills combined with strong examination and audit skills, proven negotiation skills in high pressure situations, and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
Kris is a graduate of Mankato State University with a degree in Finance and Marketing, and a minor in Economics. She spent over 10 years in the banking industry, including Banking Supervision at the FDIC and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, where she became a Commissioned Bank Examiner and was responsible for ensuring the safety and soundness of the nation’s banks. She also was a Commercial Loan Officer for the Bank of Hawaii in Arizona responsible for growth and development of the bank. As a Commercial Loan Officer, she was responsible for securing accounts by assessing business loan applications, interviewing commercial loan applicants, evaluating applicant’s financial status and creating customized loan packages and payment plans.
In addition, Kris served as a local coordinator for 5 years at CCI Greenheart, a nonprofit organization that offers cultural exchange programs for people around the world. During this time, she and her family hosted 4 students from countries including Brazil, Belgium, Austria, and France. She also was responsible for organizing international students’ experiences that included coordinating group activities, securing host families, and organizing welcome and farewell parties. She has a heart for students and non-profits that help teens navigate this world.
Kris Swift has been a Lakeville resident for 17 years. She has been married for 30 years and has two children. Her two children went through the Lakeville school system, during which time she was employed by the Lakeville School District in various capacities, including working in the IMC, tutoring, teaching a keyboarding class, and coaching. She has been actively involved in her children’s activities including coaching both basketball and tennis, and continues to coach boys and girls tennis in Lakeville. Kris also sang with her children in the Hosanna Church Christmas concert, which highlights the Minnesota Orchestra. She continues to be a part of that spectacular event.
